Riddhima Das, an eighth grader at Kamiakin Middle School, is no stranger to recognition for her artistic talents.

About 75 middle school students took to the kitchen to participate in this year’s LWSD Middle School Culinary Competition. Students put together a PowerPoint presentation showing off the work they had done and submitted it to the competition committee in March.

On January 24, the School Construction Input Team (SCIT) at Evergreen (EMS) and Kamiakin (KaMS) Middle Schools met with the capital projects team to continue work for future plans of their school campus projects.

Only two teams get to move onto the global championship of the FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Challenge. One of those teams is made up of students from Lake Washington School District (LWSD) after they won at the Western Washington State Finals in February.
